#babesofmissguided lookbook – nobodys dreamgirl

by | January 29, 2018

We always look to the ‘gram for outfit inspo, so we’ve teamed up with our favourite #babesofmissguided influencers to show us how to rock the new in section, and get to know them a little better.

First up – @nobodys.dreamgirl Chelsea Wise – the dreamy photographer and girl boss behind @bubblegumphoto to chat wardrobe inspo, style icons, 90s party playlists and plans for 2018.

Hey Chelsea, how are you?
I’m currently drinking a GTL (green tea latte) so I guess you can say I’m doing great!

What’s the last album you’ve listened to?
I’ve been listening to the album Bop City by Terror Jr.

What are your 3 style must-haves?
1.) Tiny sunglasses
2.) Diamond hoop earrings
3.) A mini bag of some kind. I am obsessed with tiny bags!

You can only wear one outfit for the rest of your life what is it?
Vintage Versace jeans, a fluffy off the shoulder crop top and Chanel sling back heels

If you could steal anyone’s wardrobe, who’s would it be?
RIHANNA! Her street style is always so xxxtra! I would die.

What’s your current party playlist?
I don’t do much partying but here’s my bedroom party playlist. (Currently playing as I type this)
“Faded”- Kim Petra
“Sugar”- Terror Jr.
“Unlock It” – Charli XCX
“Whip it” – Iconika
“Raingurl”- Yaeji
“Boy (I need you)” – Mariah Carey

What song do you want playing when you walk in the club?
The ultimate club anthem “Believe” by Cher! The whole music video is literally her in a club. That would be so iconic.

Who would be in your ultimate girl gang?
Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Nicole Richie (Circa 2007) I mean that’s kind of a dream right?

Our latest campaign #KeepOnBeingYou is all about being unique and owning it, what does being yourself mean to you?
I think owning who you are should be on the top of everyone’s list. It’s the answer to all your problems! Trust me. I am learning to own and love my flaws everyday.
Imperfections are what make you unique! Thrive in them <3

What advice do you have for people breaking into the industry?
1.) Find your own personal style and stick with it.
2.) Consistency is key!
3.) Don’t wait around for people or brands to reach out to you first ! Send out those emails!
4.) Social media is everything. Make sure your Instagram/website reflects who you are and what you’re all about!
5.) Don’t be discouraged if you feel it isn’t going to happen. The biggest mistake you you could ever make is giving up on yourself.

What’s on the agenda for 2018, any projects you can tell us about?
Yes! I have a million things I want to work on this year but I’ll tell you about two. I am currently working on a online shop! I grew a decent following on my depop this past year selling 90s/ Y2K clothing so my next move is to break away from the app and see what I can do with it. I’m also working on starting a YouTube channel. I’ve been putting that off for years but I feel now is the right time. I get a lot of questions about fashion, skin care and tips on taking photos so I feel a YouTube channel would be the perfect platform for that!
