When it comes to summer styling, blogger Lucy Radwell is always reaching for something that will show off her legs. She’s got an ever-growing skirts collection that even we are jealous of and the best bit is that they’re perfect for casj Fridays, right up to weekend pizza dates and going out-out with your BFF.
We caught up with her to chat go-to summer pieces, styling advice and what beauty products she just can’t live without…
Tell us your plans for the summer…
This summer I plan to fully embrace creating summer styles on my blog for my first year of full-time blogging! I also have a girly holiday planned with my friends, as well as festivals, the Ascot races, and I’m going to see Beyoncé which I’m MEGA excited about!
How will you be switching up your look for the new season?
I’m always looking for new ways to experiment with different pieces, this season I will be switching up summer styles by creating skirt looks with subtle twists, finding new ways to wear my favorites.
What’s your go-to piece for summer?
Definitely the classic blue denim shorts, they are a summer wardrobe staple!
Day-to-night, what’S your styling advice?
I think shoes are key for day-to-night styling, if you want an outfit to carry you on though the night then pop a pair of heels in your bag for later. This will give you an instant boost and transform your look so you’re ready to party the night away.
If you could only wear one outfit all summer what would it be?
Probably a jumpsuit as they’re so easy to dress up or down with shoes and accessories.
You’re about to go on a long flight. What product do you never fly without?
Without fail I will have a mini make-up collection with me on a flight, my brow pencil will always be found in there!
What’s your biggest tip for prolonging your tan?
100% exfoliate and moisturise the day before you plan to fake tan for the best results, it makes such a difference! If it is a natural tan then after-sun galore!
Any tips for a natural, healthy looking glow?
Yes, drink lots of water, this is the best way to glow this summer. I also drink lots of green tea which works wonders for the skin. If you’re looking for a product to give you a glow I recently purchased the Mac Strobe Cream which is perfect to transform those not-so-fabulous skin days.
What are your top tips for preparing your legs for summer?
1. Exfoliate and moisturise so your legs will be ready for taking the tan.
2. Use Bio Oil to even out skin tone and improve the the appearance of scars and blemishes.
3. Get your glow on by drinking more water and green tea – it has amazing effects on your skin.
What’s on the agenda for the rest of the year?
Styling up lots of lush Missguided finds!
