An interview with Amina Blue| December 1, 2016
Introducing Amina Blue. She’s one seriously boss babe with a cool af attitude and bombshell looks. Fronting our latest drop of winter swag, she proves that we really do want anything that she wears. We had some questions for her, she had the answers…
We absolutely love your ink. Which is your favourite tattoo and why?
One of my favourite tattoos would be the angel on my ribs. It’s for my brother that passed away so it’s a bit more special than the others.
You bagged a spot walking in the Yeezy shows, what is Kanye like to work with?
He’s awesome to work with and definitely not what people make him out to be. A lot of my inspiration comes from seeing him create.
At 5 foot 1 you’re not your average model, what inspired you to get into modelling?
For me it happened kind of fast. Once I was given the opportunity I took it. It wasn’t until I started meeting people that inspired me to keep modelling.
What’s your favourite song at the moment?
I have too many right now.
Do you prefer nights in or nights out?
Loveeee nights in
Who’s your female hero?
My mom. She’s been the biggest influence in my life and my biggest supporter. Doesn’t get any better than that.
What does the future hold for Amina Blue?
A lot of exciting things. Just to name one…my very own shoe line is coming out and I’m extremely proud of how far I’ve come with designing. That’s just the beginning.
What makes you feel empowered?
Being able to inspire young women is very empowering. It makes me feel good knowing I’ve influenced someone in a positive way.
What was it like being in Tyga’s music video?
I enjoyed shooting with Tyga in Jamaica . Being in a beautiful place with good people is always an awesome time.
How do you feel about women being negative to other women on social media?
I hate seeing negative things in general but it saddens me a little more to see women talk down to each other. Social media is extremely powerful and I think it should be used in a positive way and uplift women rather then bring them down.
You are obviously very passionate about animal rights, can you tell us a bit more about that?
I like to think I’m the voice for the voices we can’t hear. And yes there are many other horrible things going on in the world but I feel as if animal abuse is often overlooked. I just want to bring awareness to people that may be blind as to what happens to innocent animals on an everyday basis.
