how to make kale crisps

Looking for a quick snack or healthy side dish? Whip up some kale crisps as a quick and healthy alternative to the bad stuff. You choose the flavor…

For a batch you’ll need:

1 bag of crispy kale

 Tablespoon olive oil

 Sprinkle of salt

 How to Prepare

1. Preheat your oven to 135C

2. Spread your kale out evenly onto a baking tray, making sure not to overload as they won’t get crispy if it’s overcrowded in there

3. Mix in the salt and olive oil

4. Place on the top shelf of the oven for around 15 minutes (turning the leaves over a couple of times)

5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool

Now you’ve cracked the basics, it’s time to get creative with flavours. A few of our favourites include…

1. Garlic salt: sprinkle over around 2 teaspoons and mix in well

2. Chili flakes: choose the amount depending on how hot you like it

3. Parmesan and garlic: mix in a tablespoon of parmesan and two cloves of crushed garlic for a cheesy finish

4. Paprika: Mix in a teaspoon of paprika with your salt and oil

5. Lemon: For a slightly bitter taste, squeeze half a lemon into the olive oil before mixing well
