DENIM MOMENTS| September 26, 2015
We look back at some of the most iconic denim moments in fashion history…
If you haven’t yet seen Thelma & Louise, what are you waiting for?! It’ll make you cry, laugh and most of all, give you a ton of denimspo; think rock tees, sick shades and neck ties.
They were one of the biggest and baddest girl bands in the 90s and TLC loved their denim, often spotted at music awards wearing low-slung baggy jeans or dungarees, socks and sandals. Hmm…
It was a match made in denim heaven when rapper and bad-boy Marky Mark (from 90s boy Funky Bunch) and supermodel Kate Moss got together for the now iconic 1992 Marc Jacobs ads.
Back in the 90s Claudia Schiffer was most well known for her seriously seductive Guess jeans ads.
Kate Moss makes another appearance, this time walking the catwalk for Alexander McQueen’s 1996 collection. They are some SERIOUSLY low-slung, hip-skimming jeans.
Britney was a huge fan of the above-mentioned low-slung jeans, wearing them in her I’m not a girl, not yet a woman music video back in 2002.
Our most recent denim moment has to be the collection designed by Alexa Chung for AG jeans. That woman knows her denim all right.
No denim moment’s blog post can go by without mentioning the most infamous moments of them all: Britney and Justin at the 2001 American Music Awards. We’re still grieving over the end of their perfectly coordinated relationship. Sob.
