It’s been your uniform since forever and this season, denim is getting a makeover to freshen up for spring.  We’ve seen patchwork denim on some of our fave street style babes and on the runway for designers like Ashish and Stella McCartney, and we want in.

For fresh threads that don’t cost a thing, we’re being let loose on a pair of jeans for an easy DIY that’ll ensure your style is on point all summer long.

What you’ll need:

Denim – the more distressed the better

Two silk scarves or bandanas

Safety pins

What to do:

diy patchwork jeans

1. Distress your denim with a pair of scissors.  Cut them up as much as you want, making at least two holes (one on each leg) and fray the edges.

2. Turn the jeans inside out and get pinning so the fabric covers the holes.

…and it’s as easy as that!

The best part is that there’s no sewing required and should you be vibin’ a different look, you can swap the fabrics out in minutes!
