WHAT TO WEAR TO A FESTIVAL

by | May 6, 2015

We need fest-essentials and we need them now. Louder tunes and hotter garms, the field’s your catwalk so hit it up in forever festival. From suede fringing, killer kimonos and neon pops, you know we’ll be dancing from dusk ‘til dawn. We chat with Missguided Stylist Sara about making the ultimate festicool statement in the field.

What’s your number one festival essential?

A statement leather jacket. The more battered & broken the better. It can be layered underneath your waterproofs when the rain hits or thrown over a girly dress to rough it up.

What’s your favourite festival look and which festival would you be rocking it to?

That feather top is my summer crush! I can imagine all the hotties at Coachella rocking it with bikini bottoms & biker boots. In the UK I’d opt for the fringed skirt outfit to Download festival. It’s effortless and who doesn’t love a rock ‘n’ roll all black ensemble?!

How do you pitch a tent and still look oh so glam?

You make friends with some neighbours by offering them some of your drinks and giving them a wink and hope that they’ll do it for you. You would never see Beyonce pitching a tent!

Which celebrity do you always watch out for on the field for the ultimate festival style inspo?

Kate Bosworth , Kate Moss,  Jameela Jamil and Alexa Chung usually get it! Kate worked sequins with wellies so we can only bow down to her for this glam rock twist and Jameela has a hat collection that demands respect. I’m not usually one for girly dresses but Rosie Huntington Whiteley recently wore a white Chloe dress at Coachella and it was a dream!

From flower garlands to hair rings and face gems, what’s the beauty trend that you’re all over for festival season?

Henna or general body art. Go crazy! Also, metallic tattoos. They’re fool proof and will off-set any sun-kissed skin!

If you could go to any festival where would you go, who would you go with and what Missguided Festival item would you be wearing?

I would go to Glastonbury with Alex Turner. I bet he has an incredible leather jacket and ankle boot collection so we could share. Plus he is a northerner and pretty easy on the eyes! I would be there in my Missguided Feather Front Crop Top, choker, statement hat, shorts and 90’s boots.
