Missguided Presents: Cocktail Masterclass with The Alchemist

It’s the 72nd January, payday still feels like a million miles away and your Dry Jan is long broken. If your bank balance is telling you to stay in this weekend, that doesn’t mean that you have to stay away from the insta-worthy drinks. We teamed up with The Alchemist to show you how to create three of their fave cocktails.

Get the whole group chat round to your place and impress them with your new-found mixologist skills. There’s a couple of ingredients that you probably won’t have lying around in your kitchen cupboard, so we’ve linked them in the recipes down below 👇.

The Alchemist rose gold cocktail shaker set

*If you don’t have a shaker at home, you can also use a jam jar, or you can get this really cute cocktail set from The Alchemist

🌈The Colour Changing One🌈

You will need…

  • 1 Rocks Glass
  • 2 Small Glasses
  • The Butterfly Pea Flower Extract (This changes the colour
  • Grey Goose
  • Briottet Manzana Verde (Green Apple Liqueur)
  • Sugar Syrup (recipe – 250ml boiling water to 250g caster sugar. Just mix together to dissolve)
  • Lemon juice
  • Lemonade
  • Ice
  • Dry Ice (This isn’t necessary to the recipe, but it creates the cool smoke effect)

How to…

  • In one small glass add 3 parts Grey Goose, 3 parts Briottet Manzana Verde (Green Apple Liqueur), 2 part Sugar Syrup and 1 part Butterfly Pea Flower Extract.
  • In the other small glass add 2 parts Lemon Juice and 4 parts Lemonade.
  • Add cubed ice to your rocks glass and top with a few pellets of dry ice (if using).
  • To serve, pour the blue glass first and then follow with the clear.

🛁Bubble Bath🛁

You will need…

  • Martini Glass
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Fine Strain
  • Ice
  • Tanqueray
  • Water
  • Lemon Juice
  • Chambord
  • Aperol
  • Apple Juice
  • Simple Syrup
  • Soya Lecithin
  • Dry Ice (This isn’t necessary to create the recipe, but it creates the cool smoke effect)

How to:

  • In the cocktail shaker add 4 parts Tanqueray, 4 parts water, 2 parts lemon juice, 1 part Chambord, 1 part Aperol, 3 parts apple juice, 1 part simple syrup and 1 tsp soya lecithin.
  • Add cubed ice and shake.
  • Use a fine strain to strain out any lumps of lecithin, into your glass with the dry ice.
  • Drink should start to bubble up over the glass.

💘Screwball💘

You will need…

  • 1 Rocks Glass
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Fine Strain
  • Absolut Raspberry
  • Blue Curacao
  • Bubblegum Syrup
  • Apple Juice
  • Lime Juice
  • White Chocolate Foam (If you don’t want to shell out for a foam canister, you could whip the white chocolate foam with a hand blender or swap the white chocolate for whipped cream)
  • Ice
  • Maraschino cherries

How to:

  • In the cocktail shaker add 3 parts Absolut Raspberry, 3 parts Blue Curacao, 3 parts Bubblegum Syrup, 5 parts Apple Juice, 2 parts Lime Juice, 5 parts White Chocolate Foam.
  • Add cubed ice and shake.
  • Use a fine strain and strain into a rocks glass over cubed ice.
  • Garnish with a white chocolate foam swirl and a Maraschino cherry.
